What with my new-found fame and all, · 809 days ago by daniel peyser

Yes, I’m still going to write the advice column. But I’ll share with you my now not-so-secret wish about it: syndication. Yes, if VegNews, Herbivore, Satya or someone else wanted to pick up the advice column as a regular feature, that would be pretty damn hot. It is also unlikely, as my language can be a bit, well, vulgar.

But in the meantime, for those of you just getting your copies of Dispatches, and unfamiliar with the column: you can email your love, sex, and whatever-else advice questions to me by clicking the contact link on the left side of the page. Responses will continue to be posted in the Advice section.

Cheers,
Vulgar Vegan

Come for the interview, stay for the bukkake · 818 days ago by daniel peyser

Bob and Jenna were gracious enough to host an interview with yours truly on the most recent edition of Vegan Freak Radio. You can listen tune in at podcast.veganfreak.com. We discuss the book, with some detours about my truest love, Vegenaise, as well as Cheezly, which I desperately want (alas, it doth not ship state-side).

Also, Bob is a filthy whore.

Just kidding, that’s Rachel “E-V-O-O” Ray. It’s olive oil, bitch! Just say it! Everyone knows what you mean!

THIS JUST IN: You may also enjoy hentai! · 820 days ago by daniel peyser

According to Amazon.com, if you like Dispatches, you may also enjoy hentai! That’s right, if you’re looking for a book about vegan love, chances are you’re into giant monster tentacle sex with illicitly young Asian girls. Or, you know, pictures of it. Thanks, Amazon.

Dispatches hits Amazon, author apologizes for washed-out looking cover · 832 days ago by daniel peyser

Thanks to the tireless work of my publishers, you can now get Dispatches on Amazon.com, here. More importantly for me, you get to write a review of it.

It’s been a long time coming, and missed multiple deadlines, but Dispatches is finally here. If it does well enough, expect a pumped up, and arguably funnier revised edition at some point in the future. In the meantime, enjoy all the free bonus material I’ll be posting on the site in the coming days.

Thanks for all your patience, dear readers. And to those who helped in the edit & review process, head on over to Amazon, for G-d’s sake, and rave.

Oh, and we make more money on it if you buy it from Tofu Hound, plus you’ll be supporting a small business. So unless you’ve got Amazon gift certificates to burn, get your copy of Dispatches from THP. While Amazon is a decent enough place to put your reviews, it’s kinda teh suck.

Cheers,
Vulgar Vegan

PS- Sorry for the washed-out/hi-contrast looking pic of the cover that’s posted there. I really have no fucking clue what happened.

PPS- The actual cover does, in fact, look much, much better.

Tofu Hound Press brings you: Dispatches from Hell · 915 days ago by daniel peyser

Dispatches from Hell: a vegan’s guide to love, sex, relationships, and other suicidal tendencies
Go to any bookstore, and you’ll find reams of hackneyed, dumb, touchy-feely self-help books for singles. Sadly, no one has written a hackneyed, dumb, touchy-feely self-help book for vegans yet. Don’t you think it’s about time?

Dispatches from Hell is the answer to your prayers. Finally, you have in your hands a book that will answer all the usual questions about love, relationships, dating, and sex, but with an eye towards veganism and how it relates to these already complex topics. Is your partner non-vegan? Don’t really know how to do the whole “dating” thing? Need some advice on how to deal with relatives and in-laws, what constitutes a healthy relationship, or just what forms of birth control are cruelty-free? In this book, you’ll find answers to common questions like these and more, such as,

• Should I date non-vegans?

• Where can I buy vegan bondage gear?

• Are blowjobs vegan?

...as well as pages of questionably helpful tips and ideas interspersed in separate text boxes throughout.

Dispatches from Hell will give you the ropes, show you the ropes, and teach you how not to hang yourself with the ropes, when it comes to being a vegan navigating the treacherous waters of all things related to relationships.

Available from Tofu Hound Press, April, 2006.
US $11.95 CAN $16.95
